
Bibi Andersson
**Bibi Andersson (1935-2019)** was a Swedish actress celebrated for her prolific collaboration with director Ingmar Bergman, becoming one of his muses.
She appeared in over ten of his films. Among her most memorable performances are those in *The Seventh Seal* (1957), where she played the young Mia, and *Wild Strawberries* (1957). Her role as Alma in *Persona* (1966) is perhaps her most iconic, showcasing her ability to portray complex and psychologically layered characters. She received the Best Actress Award at the Cannes Film Festival for *So Close to Life* (1958), another Bergman film.
Her style was characterized by a naturalness and sensitivity that allowed her to portray female figures who were often vulnerable yet resilient, capable of great emotional depth. Her career also extended to theater and international productions.
