Christoph Waltz (Vienna, 1956) is an Austrian actor known for his film career which took off with his collaboration with Quentin Tarantino.

He has won two Academy Awards for Best Supporting Actor for his roles in *Inglourious Basterds* (2009), where he played the unforgettable Colonel Hans Landa, and *Django Unchained* (2012), as Dr. King Schultz.

His distinctive style is characterized by elegance, subtle irony, and the ability to portray complex, often multilingual characters who conceal a profound ambiguity. He is celebrated for bringing to life intellectual and charismatic figures, often with a dark or eccentric side.
