David Hemmings
**David Hemmings (1941-2003)** was a British actor, an iconic face of the Swinging London era. He became famous for the role of the photographer Thomas in Michelangelo Antonioni's masterpiece *Blow-Up* (1966), where he perfectly embodied the image of the young nonconformist and intellectual, with an enigmatic and detached air.
His career continued with significant roles, including that of the musician Mark Daly in Dario Argento's cult giallo film *Profondo Rosso* (1975), which also made him popular in Italy. Among his other notable performances are *Camelot* (1967) and *Barbarella* (1968).
Hemmings distinguished himself by his ability to bring complex characters to life, often contemplative or with a veil of ambiguity, which made him a distinctive figure in 1960s and 1970s cinema.
