**Elisabeth Trissenaar (1944-2024)** was an Austrian-German actress known for her intense film career, particularly for her significant collaborations with director Rainer Werner Fassbinder.

Among her most celebrated performances were Hanni Bolwieser in *Bolwieser* (1977) and Irene in *In einem Jahr mit 13 Monden* (1978), both directed by Fassbinder. She also starred as Eva in *The Marriage of Maria Braun* (1979), also for Fassbinder.

Trissenaar was praised for her ability to portray complex women, often tormented and on the verge of a crisis, who oscillated between profound fragility and surprising inner strength.
