Georg H. Schnell
Georg H. Schnell (1942-2021) was a German actor, known for portraying authoritative characters, often of a bourgeois or aristocratic background, with a sober elegance and a certain rigidity.
While renowned for numerous television roles, particularly in the series *Diese Drombuschs* as the patriarch Christoph, Schnell also made his mark in cinema. Among his most notable film appearances was the role of the bank director in *Otto – Der Film* (1985), one of the most successful German comedies of its time. He also appeared in *Die Schokoladen-Schnüffler* (1986) and other dramas and comedies.
His acting was characterized by impeccable precision and a deep voice, which lent him an aura of respectability and, at times, severity. His distinctive style made him ideal for roles as professionals, officials, or authority figures.
