Henry Victor (1892-1980) was a British actor, known for his long and versatile film career that spanned both the silent and sound eras.

He rose to prominence as a leading man in the silent film era, and is particularly remembered for the enigmatic and unsettling role of the suspect in Alfred Hitchcock's *The Lodger: A Story of the London Fog* (1927), a performance that solidified his status as a memorable figure. His career was further marked by high-impact roles, such as that of the strongman Hercules in Tod Browning's unforgettable and controversial *Freaks* (1932), where his imposing physicality was effectively employed for the character.

Victor often excelled at portraying authoritarian figures, aristocrats, German officers, or sophisticated and somber antagonists, leveraging his commanding presence and penetrating gaze.
