
Hye-jin Jang
**Jang Hye-jin** (born November 8, 1975) is a South Korean actress internationally known for her role as Chung-sook, the mother of the Kim family, in Bong Joon-ho's multi-award-winning film *Parasite* (2019).
Before *Parasite*, Jang had built a solid career with often supporting but significant roles. She appeared in acclaimed films such as Lee Chang-dong's *Poetry* (2010) and *Ode to My Father* (2014), and had a more central role in the independent film *Mothers* (2017).
