**Ingrid Thulin (1926-2004)** was an internationally renowned Swedish actress. Celebrated for her intense performances, she was one of Ingmar Bergman's muses, significantly contributing to his existential cinema.

Her collaboration with the Swedish director culminated in masterpieces such as *Wild Strawberries* (1957), *Winter Light* (1963), *The Silence* (1963), where she delivered a bold and memorable performance, and *Cries and Whispers* (1972).

Thulin excelled at portraying complex, intellectual women, often tormented by existential or psychological dilemmas. Her acting was characterized by a magnetic presence, a refined intensity, and a unique ability to express profound inner dramas with apparent coldness.

While primarily known for her work with Bergman, she also worked with other important international directors, including Luchino Visconti in *The Damned* (1969) and Alain Resnais in *The War Is Over* (1966).
