Keiko Tsushima

**Keiko Tsushima (1926-2012)** was a Japanese actress primarily known for her collaboration with director Akira Kurosawa. She achieved international fame with her role as the wife in Kurosawa's masterpiece, *Rashomon* (1950), a performance that earned her great acclaim for its intensity and depth.

She continued to act in other iconic films by the director, including *The Idiot* (1951) and *Seven Samurai* (1954), where she portrayed the character of Shino.
