**Lena Nyman (1944-2011)** was a Swedish actress whose film career was defined by daring and challenging roles.

She achieved international fame thanks to Vilgot Sjöman's controversial and innovative films, *I Am Curious (Yellow)* (1967) and *I Am Curious (Blue)* (1968). These films made her a symbol of open sexuality and rebellion against the social conventions of her time.

She went on to work with Ingmar Bergman on several occasions, including the drama *Autumn Sonata* (1978), where she gave a moving performance as the sick daughter Helena, and *Scenes from a Marriage* (1973).
