Luigi Pistilli

**Luigi Pistilli (1929-1996)** was an Italian actor remembered for his intense screen presence and his specialization in antagonist or "villain" roles. His fame is primarily linked to the spaghetti western genre, where he left an indelible mark.

He is known for his collaborations with Sergio Leone in the classics *For a Few Dollars More* (1965), where he played Groggy, and *The Good, the Bad and the Ugly* (1966), in the role of the tormented Father Pablo. He consolidated his image in other iconic westerns such as Giulio Petroni's *Death Rides a Horse* (1967) and Damiano Damiani's *A Bullet for the General* (1966). His versatility also led him to act in numerous Italian *giallo* films, where his sharp expression and austere figure perfectly suited ambiguous or menacing characters.
