**Marisa Berenson** (born in New York in 1947) is an American actress and model, who emerged as an iconic figure in cinema in the 1970s. Granddaughter of fashion designer Elsa Schiaparelli, she began her career as a successful model before transitioning to the big screen.

Her prominent film debut was in Luchino Visconti's *Death in Venice* (1971). Memorable roles followed in Bob Fosse's *Cabaret* (1972), where she played Natalia Landauer, and notably as Lady Lyndon in Stanley Kubrick's *Barry Lyndon* (1975), her most celebrated role that established her as a leading actress.

Berenson distinguished herself with her cool and elegant beauty, often portraying sophisticated, aristocratic characters or those with an ethereal and melancholic aura. Her refined screen presence contributed to defining her distinctive style, making her a symbol of cinematic grace and mystery.
