Ninetto Davoli
**Ninetto Davoli** (San Vito Chietino, 1948) is an Italian actor who became famous thanks to his intense collaboration with director Pier Paolo Pasolini. Discovered by Pasolini in the Roman suburbs, Davoli became the symbolic face of his poetics, embodying authentic and popular characters.
His significant debut occurred in *Uccellacci e Uccellini* (1966), where he acted alongside Totò, displaying unique naturalness and irony. His collaboration with Pasolini continued in works such as *Oedipus Rex* (1967), *Medea* (1969), and especially in the "Trilogy of Life" (*The Decameron*, *The Canterbury Tales*, *The Flower of the One Thousand and One Nights*).
In these films, Davoli played roles of young proletarians, often naive, vital, sometimes humorous or tragic, always with an innate spontaneity. His style, unprofessional yet profoundly expressive, skillfully captured the soul of Pasolini's characters. After Pasolini's death, he continued to act in various genres, but his name remains indissolubly linked to the Pasolinian universe.
