**Steven Bauer** (born Esteban Echevarría in Havana, Cuba, in 1956) is a Cuban-American actor known for his versatility and intense roles.
His film career took off with his portrayal of Manny Ribera in Brian De Palma's *Scarface* (1983), a role that earned him a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actor. Before this success, he had already distinguished himself in the TV movie *Chicano* (1981).
He continued to collaborate with De Palma in *Raising Cain* (1992) and appeared in significant films such as *Traffic* (1989), *Primal Fear* (1996), and *Bird on a Wire* (1990).
