Yoshio Inaba (1920-1998) was a Japanese actor known for his supporting roles, particularly in the films of Akira Kurosawa.
His most iconic role was that of the wise and thoughtful samurai Gorobei in Seven Samurai (1954), one of the central characters of the team.
He also collaborated with Kurosawa on works such as **Throne of Blood** (1957), in the role of a commander, and **High and Low** (1963), where he played a detective.
Inaba excelled at playing stoic, reliable figures of great dignity. He was often cast as military men, policemen, or samurai, characters of integrity and loyalty who embodied a quiet moral strength.
