Mohammad Rasoulof
Mohammad Rasoulof is an acclaimed Iranian filmmaker whose work is deeply rooted in social and political criticism of his country, exploring themes such as justice, individual freedom, and state oppression.
He gained international recognition with *Bé omid e didar* (Goodbye, 2011), which won the Un Certain Regard award at Cannes.
This was followed by *Dastneveshtehaa nemisoozand* (Manuscripts Don't Burn, 2013), which won the FIPRESCI Prize, and *Lerd* (A Man of Integrity, 2017), winner of the Un Certain Regard Prize.
His most famous film, *Sheytan vojoud nadarad* (There Is No Evil, 2020), won the Golden Bear in Berlin, despite him being prevented from collecting it. His career has been marked by arrests and bans, but he has continued to denounce injustice with a realistic and often allegorical style.
