**Vera Miles** (born Vera June Ralston, 1929) is an American actress known for her elegance and dramatic roles. She achieved fame through her collaboration with Alfred Hitchcock.
She is unforgettable as Lila Crane in *Psycho* (1960), where she portrays Marion's determined sister, searching for the truth. She also appeared in the film noir *The Wrong Man* (1956) alongside Henry Fonda, in the role of a tormented wife. Another significant role was in John Ford's classic Western, *The Searchers* (1956), with John Wayne.
